Piergiorgio Sorgetti (1988), born in Abruzzo and based in Milan, is an Italian photographer whose work focuses on the perception of form and on the interpretative and symbolic possibilities of the photographic image. He studied at the ISIA in Urbino, where he graduated with mention of honour; during this time, he drew inspiration from critical theory and metaphysical painting, and developed a particular interest in the worlds of art and design. In 2021, he published, with Witty Books and in collaboration with Mattia Parodi, the book The Missing Eye, a project dedicated to the sensory factors that coexist alongside sight in the exploration of the photographic image. He is currently working on personal projects and various commissions, through which he collaborates with a variety of designers, magazines and brands.
